Mungilthuraippattu Anna Nagar: Special Camp Held to Provide Certificates to Flood-Affected Public in Kallakurichi
In the aftermath of the heavy rainfall caused by the recent Penchal Cyclone, several areas in Kallakurichi district, including Mungilthuraippattu Anna Nagar, were severely affected by floods. As a result, the government took swift action to ensure that those who lost important documents during the disaster could obtain them through a special camp organized to issue vital certificates.
On this initiative, a special camp was set up at Mungilthuraippattu Anna Nagar to assist the flood-affected people in acquiring various certificates such as Aadhaar cards, ration cards, caste certificates, and voter IDs. A total of 55 applications were received from the public during the camp.
The majority of the applications were resolved on the spot, and the relevant certificates were handed over to the beneficiaries by the Revenue Department Officer, Mr. Lourdesamy. For a few pending applications, steps have been taken to ensure that the required certificates will be provided soon.
This initiative is part of the government's effort to ensure that flood-affected individuals do not face difficulties in accessing essential documents. Affected citizens were able to replace their lost or damaged certificates, making it easier for them to access government services and benefits.
The authorities have assured that similar camps will continue to be organized in other affected areas, and the process will be expedited to ensure that all eligible citizens receive their necessary documents.
The public has expressed their gratitude for the government's quick response, and the camp is expected to be a model for similar relief efforts across the region.
