A special event was held in Sankarapuram on Thursday to distribute scooters with support wheels to differently-abled individuals. The event was organized by the District Differently-abled Welfare Department at the MLA’s office and was chaired by the District Welfare Officer, Subramani.
Former MLA Angaiyarkanni and Union Chairperson Thilagavathi Nagarajan presided over the ceremony. During the event, MLA Udayasuriyan presented scooters equipped with support wheels to 12 differently-abled individuals. The total value of the scooters distributed was ₹12,21,000. The recipients expressed their gratitude and happiness, as these scooters would greatly ease their mobility and independence.
In addition to the distribution, several other key officials attended the event, including the BDO Ayyappan, City Secretary Durai, and District Committee member Kamroothideen.
