Karthi, the Member of Parliament from Karaiikudi, expressed strong disagreement with the statements made by DMK leader Vijay, accusing him of speaking against the development of Tamil Nadu. Karthi pointed out the importance of building a veterinary hospital in the district and stated that he would urge the Chief Minister to take necessary action on this. He also referred to a comment by the Director of IIT Chennai, stating that drinking cow urine could be a traditional belief, but it is scientifically unproven, which Karthi believed was inappropriate coming from someone in that position.
Further, Karthi addressed the matter of the new modern international airport, highlighting that there was no disagreement on the need for a new airport. He mentioned that the existing Chennai airport was in a poor condition and that both the central and state governments had decided to take united action to develop an international airport. He criticized any political leader who spoke against this essential development.
Karthi also expressed confidence that the judiciary would step in if the Governor failed to resolve issues regarding the appointment of vice-chancellors in universities, continuing his criticism of Vijay for allegedly opposing Tamil Nadu's progress.
