In light of this, the district administration has emphasized the importance of organizing these events only after obtaining the required permissions and adhering to the government's rules and regulations.

The district administration has issued a strong warning regarding the unauthorized conduct of traditional bull-taming events like Jallikattu, Manju Virattu, and Vadamaadu Manju Virattu. According to government regulations, these events are allowed only between January and May with prior permission. However, despite these guidelines, numerous such events have been conducted year-round, often without the necessary authorization.

Events such as Manju Virattu and Vadamaadu Manju Virattu have been a common sight in many areas, even outside the designated period for which the government grants permission. From January 16 onwards, competitions are expected to be held in several places, including Siravayal, Kandupatti, and Araliparai, among others. In light of this, the district administration has emphasized the importance of organizing these events only after obtaining the required permissions and adhering to the government's rules and regulations.

A recent consultation meeting held at the Sivagangai Collector’s office, led by the Collector, included the Jallikattu Festival committee members and other officials. During this meeting, the need for strict compliance with the government's guidelines was underscored. The administration has made it clear that any event conducted without proper approval will face serious consequences.
