The Sports Authority of India, in collaboration with the 'Fit India Movement', organized a awareness cycle rally under the Theni postal division to promote a healthy lifestyle. The event was aimed at encouraging the public to improve their health through cycling.
The rally was inaugurated by DMK MLA and Supervisor Kumaran. Starting from the Theni Post Office, the rally passed through the Kamarajar Memorial Bus Stand before returning to the post office. The rally covered several key locations in Theni, raising awareness about health among the public.
Similar events were also held at the main post offices in Podhiyur and Periyakulam. Postmen and staff members participated in these events, explaining the importance of cycling for physical fitness and the many health benefits it provides to the community.
The arrangements for this event were made by the Development Officer Selvakumar. These awareness rallies not only encouraged a healthy lifestyle in the community but also emphasized the importance of maintaining physical health by regularly cycling.
