Due to the heavy snowfall, in recent days, the mountain passes and roads from Chinnamannur to Haivevis have been completely covered with snow.

In the Meghamalai hill region, normal life has been severely affected due to widespread snowfall and drizzle. Some of the key tourist destinations in this area, including Haivevis, Manalaru, Venniraru, Iravangalaru, Maharaja Mettu, and Thoovanam, have long been attractions that draw visitors with their natural beauty. However, the ongoing snowfall and drizzle have created significant challenges in the region, though the residents continue to carry on with their daily lives despite these difficulties.

Due to the heavy snowfall, in recent days, the mountain passes and roads from Chinnamannur to Haivevis have been completely covered with snow. As a result, there are significant difficulties in driving vehicles. Additionally, drizzle has been continuous. From 9:00 PM until 10:00 AM the next day, the snow continues, halting vehicle movement.

Moreover, vehicles are not allowed to operate after 5:00 PM. However, when traffic resumes at 7:00 AM the following morning, the snow makes it difficult for vehicles to travel smoothly through these areas.

Workers and travelers are experiencing these challenges, and due to the absence of sunlight and the intense cold, the influx of tourists has drastically reduced in this region.

From November to January, the snowfall is expected to be at its peak, significantly affecting daily life in the Meghamalai region and surrounding areas. This level of snowfall has not been observed in recent years, making the current situation unusual.
