At Kummidipundi, located near the Kanniamman Temple, there is an overpass on the national highway. Below this overpass, a connecting road leads to the local traffic branch office. This road sees heavy traffic daily, with hundreds of vehicle owners passing through for various tasks, including vehicle license renewals, vehicle qualification certificates, and new vehicle registrations.
However, a few days ago, heavy rainfall caused a large pool of water to form on this connecting road. The lack of proper drainage facilities has led to the stagnation of rainwater, which has remained on the road for five days. Despite the rain stopping, the water still remains stagnant, creating a significant inconvenience for those passing through.
The accumulation of water has led to serious sanitation concerns, with the stagnant water causing an unbearable foul odor. Vehicle drivers passing through the area are facing considerable difficulty in navigating the road due to the large pool of water. The ongoing stagnation of the water is worsening both the hygiene situation and the discomfort for drivers.
As the situation continues to deteriorate, vehicle drivers are urging authorities to take immediate action to fix the drainage issues and ensure the rainwater can properly drain from the road to restore normal conditions.
