Thiruthani Murugan Temple is set to celebrate its annual Thiruppadith Thiruvizha on December 31, followed by the special New Year darshan on January 1. These events attract lakhs of devotees from across the region. To ensure smooth transportation and public convenience, the Revenue Divisional Officer, K. Deepa, announced that 150 special buses would be deployed for the festival.
In an advisory meeting chaired by K. Deepa at the Revenue Divisional Office, discussions were held with officials from various departments, including temple administration, municipality, health, electricity, transport, and police, to prepare for the influx of devotees. The temple authorities have made several arrangements to accommodate the large crowds expected during the festival.
For the duration of the festival, traffic restrictions will be in place along the mountain path leading to the temple. All vehicles, especially autos, will be prohibited from entering the hill area. Instead, five special buses will be deployed from the foothills to the temple for the convenience of the pilgrims. In addition, 150 special buses will operate throughout the event to manage the transportation of devotees efficiently.
The meeting was attended by Thiruthani DSP Kandan, Inspector G. Mathiyarasan, Temple Assistant Commissioner Vijayakumar, Temple Supervisor Chitra Devi, and other department officials, who discussed and reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming festival.
