A three-day joint rescue operation has successfully concluded in Mana, Chamoli district, following a devastating avalanche. The operation was carried out by teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), the Indian Army, and local authorities. These teams worked tirelessly under challenging weather conditions to locate and assist those affected by the disaster.
Authorities confirmed that all essential search and relief efforts have been completed. The teams navigated through harsh terrain and extreme cold to ensure the safety of stranded individuals. Medical assistance was provided to those in need, and evacuation measures were carried out for people in vulnerable areas.
The avalanche, which struck earlier this week, had raised concerns over the safety of trekkers and locals in the region. Immediate rescue efforts were launched to assess the situation and provide necessary aid. Officials have now declared the situation under control, with no further risks anticipated.
Local authorities have advised residents and visitors to remain cautious as weather conditions in the Himalayan region remain unpredictable. Safety measures, including early warning systems and enhanced monitoring, are being put in place to prevent future incidents.
