Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Amanatullah Khan has taken a strong stance against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), stating that even while in opposition, the party must fulfill the promises it made to the public. Speaking at a public event, Khan accused BJP of making grand electoral assurances but failing to deliver on many fronts, including infrastructure, education, and healthcare.
Khan asserted that AAP, as a responsible party, will ensure that BJP remains accountable and does not evade its commitments. "Being in opposition does not mean you are free from responsibility. The people trusted BJP based on their promises, and we will remind them of those commitments every step of the way," he said.
The AAP leader highlighted several key areas where BJP had pledged significant improvements but, according to him, had not delivered. He pointed to stalled development projects, lack of progress in public welfare initiatives, and the continued struggles in sectors such as employment and public health.
Khan also stated that AAP will take a proactive approach in ensuring that BJP does not shift blame or create diversions to escape scrutiny. "We will constantly question and demand answers. Politics should be about service, not just winning elections," he remarked.
The political rivalry between AAP and BJP continues to intensify, especially in Delhi, where both parties have engaged in frequent clashes over governance, policies, and development agendas. With this latest statement, AAP has signaled its intent to keep the pressure on BJP, ensuring that political promises translate into tangible action for the people.
