With the elections approaching, BJP is expected to ramp up its campaign efforts, with Amit Shah playing a key role in shaping the party’s strategy for Bengal.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has reiterated his confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) prospects in West Bengal, stating that the party is well-positioned to secure victory in the state. Speaking at a recent event, Shah highlighted BJP’s electoral success in Delhi and credited welfare schemes like Ayushman Bharat for strengthening the party’s outreach among voters.

Shah emphasized that BJP’s governance model, backed by development-driven policies, has gained widespread acceptance across states. He pointed to the Ayushman Bharat scheme as a game-changer that has positively impacted millions of citizens by providing free healthcare. According to him, such initiatives will play a crucial role in winning the confidence of voters in West Bengal, where healthcare and welfare remain key electoral issues.

The Home Minister also took a dig at the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC), accusing it of corruption and misgovernance. He claimed that people in Bengal are looking for an alternative, and BJP's strong performance in the last Lok Sabha elections in the state is an indication of changing political dynamics. He added that BJP has steadily expanded its base and is working towards forming a government that prioritizes development, law and order, and economic growth.

Shah’s remarks come at a time when BJP is intensifying its campaign in West Bengal ahead of the upcoming elections. The party has been actively targeting the TMC government over issues like political violence, lack of job opportunities, and alleged irregularities in central welfare schemes.

Political analysts believe that Shah’s focus on BJP’s achievements in Delhi and the success of central schemes like Ayushman Bharat indicates the party’s strategy of positioning itself as a credible alternative to the ruling establishment.
