Union Minister Amit Shah, while addressing a gathering in Sangli, asserted that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance in Maharashtra would face a significant defeat in the upcoming elections, drawing a parallel with Congress' loss in Haryana. Shah stated that the political atmosphere in Maharashtra is undergoing major changes, and the MVA, which consists of Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress, is gradually losing its support among the people.
Shah’s comments came during his visit to Sangli, where he emphasized the growing strength of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Maharashtra. He further suggested that the MVA’s internal differences and poor governance were major reasons for their declining popularity.
By comparing the MVA’s fate to Congress' defeat in Haryana, Shah underscored the BJP’s belief that political coalitions with conflicting ideologies and governance issues ultimately face setbacks in elections. He expressed confidence that the people of Maharashtra would support the BJP in the upcoming polls, promising good governance and development.
The remarks from Amit Shah add to the ongoing political discourse in Maharashtra as the state gears up for future elections, with both the ruling MVA and opposition BJP focusing on strategic alliances and voter outreach.
