Union Home Minister Amit Shah has laid out the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) comprehensive strategy to transform Delhi into a modern, secure, and developed city under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Vikshit Delhi.’ Speaking at a public event, Shah emphasized that the government is committed to addressing the national capital’s key challenges, including urban infrastructure, pollution, law and order, and governance reforms.
Shah highlighted the government’s focus on expanding and upgrading Delhi’s transport network, including metro connectivity, road infrastructure, and traffic management to reduce congestion. He also spoke about plans to improve water supply, sanitation, and waste management to enhance the city’s livability.
Security remains a top priority, with the Home Minister stressing the need for better policing and surveillance measures to curb crime and ensure public safety. He reiterated the government's efforts in modernizing law enforcement agencies and improving emergency response systems.
Amit Shah also addressed the issue of pollution, one of Delhi’s biggest concerns, stating that the government is working on long-term solutions such as reducing vehicular emissions, promoting green energy, and improving waste disposal systems. Additionally, he assured the public that measures will be taken to curb illegal encroachments and unauthorized colonies, ensuring planned urban development.
The BJP’s ‘Vikshit Delhi’ plan aligns with the broader vision of ‘Vikshit Bharat’ (Developed India), aiming to make Delhi a global city with world-class infrastructure, seamless governance, and enhanced security. Shah urged citizens to support the government’s initiatives and participate actively in the development journey.
As the national capital gears up for upcoming elections, the BJP’s focus on development and security is expected to be a key talking point, with Shah reiterating the party’s commitment to making Delhi a model city for the future.
