In a recent move to streamline urban development in Amaravati, the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has approved land allocations to various entities, aligning with the recommendations of a ministerial sub-committee. This decision aims to ensure optimal utilization of land resources and expedite the development of the state's capital region.

As part of this initiative, the Cabinet has canceled land allotments for 13 companies that failed to adhere to the stipulated project timelines and guidelines. These cancellations involve a total of 177.24 acres previously allocated to these entities.

Furthermore, the Cabinet has extended the deadlines for 19 other organizations, granting them until March 2027 to complete their respective projects on the allotted 570.36 acres. This extension underscores the government's commitment to fostering development while maintaining accountability.

In addition to these measures, the Cabinet approved a proposal to alter the currency ceiling regulation for construction contracts related to key infrastructure projects, including the Assembly, High Court, Secretariat, and Heads of Departments (HoDs) towers. This adjustment is expected to facilitate smoother execution of these critical projects.

The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has also been authorized to sell developed plots to generate funds for Amaravati's construction, ensuring financial sustainability for the capital's development. The government has reiterated that land allocations will continue under the existing policy, with opportunities available to interested parties.

These decisions reflect the Andhra Pradesh government's dedication to advancing Amaravati's development through strategic land management and infrastructure planning
