Patna, Bihar – As the Bihar assembly elections approach, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav unveiled key promises targeting youth employment and women empowerment. Speaking at a campaign rally, Yadav promised permanent government jobs for eligible youth in the state. He also committed to providing Rs 30,000 per month to women workers under the ‘Jeevika Didi’ initiative, aiming to recognize and reward grassroots women workers involved in community development programs.

The RJD leader highlighted that the dual focus on youth and women would strengthen Bihar’s socio-economic development while addressing unemployment and gender inequality. “Bihar’s youth deserve stable careers, and our women deserve financial security and recognition for their contributions. The ‘Jeevika Didi’ program will ensure our women workers are empowered economically,” he said.

Tejashwi Yadav also outlined the broader vision of RJD’s election manifesto, which includes measures to improve education, healthcare, infrastructure, and rural livelihoods. The emphasis on permanent jobs seeks to address long-standing issues of contractual employment and unemployment among educated youth, particularly in semi-urban and rural areas.

The announcement regarding ‘Jeevika Didis’ is intended to bolster women’s participation in state-sponsored welfare and community initiatives. Under this plan, women engaged in local development, health, and social programs will receive a steady monthly allowance, helping them achieve financial independence while continuing their public service roles. Yadav emphasized that the initiative will create a more inclusive and equitable society in Bihar.

Political analysts suggest that this strategy is aimed at strengthening RJD’s voter base, particularly among young voters and women, who constitute a significant portion of the electorate. The dual focus on employment and women’s welfare is seen as a move to resonate with the aspirations of grassroots-level voters and urban youth alike.

During the rally, Yadav also criticized the ruling government for its perceived failures in providing stable employment opportunities and adequate support for women workers. He stressed that RJD’s policies would prioritize citizen welfare, economic empowerment, and gender equality.

The announcement has generated widespread discussion in political circles, with opposition parties expected to respond with counter-proposals. The move also highlights the increasing importance of targeted social welfare schemes as key determinants in voter decision-making ahead of state elections.

Overall, the promises made by Tejashwi Yadav aim to address critical socio-economic concerns in Bihar by combining youth employment initiatives with women empowerment schemes. The focus on permanent jobs and monthly financial support for ‘Jeevika Didis’ underscores RJD’s strategy to appeal to key voter segments while reinforcing the party’s commitment to inclusive development.

Tejashwi Yadav also outlined the broader vision of RJD’s election manifesto, which includes measures to improve education, healthcare, infrastructure, and rural livelihoods.
