Delhi witnessed a tense situation on Monday morning after multiple schools across the city received bomb threat emails, warning of explosions and even a possible attack on Parliament. The threatening messages caused widespread concern among students, parents, and school authorities, leading to swift action by law enforcement and security agencies.
Following the receipt of the emails, schools immediately alerted the police, and emergency protocols were activated. Students were evacuated from classrooms in an orderly manner, and parents were informed to ensure safety. Bomb disposal squads, dog units, and local police teams were deployed to inspect school premises thoroughly. No suspicious objects were found during the searches, officials confirmed.
The threat messages also mentioned a possible attack on Parliament, prompting heightened security across central Delhi. Security around Parliament House and nearby government buildings was strengthened as a precautionary measure. Entry checks were intensified, and additional personnel were stationed at key locations to prevent any untoward incident.
Delhi Police stated that all standard operating procedures were followed after the threats were received. Cyber teams have begun tracing the source of the emails to determine whether the threats were credible or a hoax intended to create fear. Officials said strict action would be taken against those found responsible for sending the messages.
Senior police officials emphasised that there was no confirmation of an actual explosive device or attack plan at this stage. However, authorities stressed that every threat is treated seriously, particularly when it involves schools and national institutions. Security agencies coordinated closely to ensure there were no gaps in surveillance or response.
Parents expressed anxiety following the incident, with many rushing to schools to collect their children. School administrations assured families that safety remained their top priority and that they were cooperating fully with law enforcement agencies. Several schools temporarily suspended classes for the day as a precaution.
