Naidu also raised concerns over the delay in the implementation of certain financial assistance promises made by the central government at the time of bifurcation.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu recently met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to seek special financial assistance for the state. During the meeting, Naidu highlighted the state's ongoing financial challenges and pressed for additional support to expedite infrastructure development and welfare programs. He called for a more substantial financial package to help meet the growing demands of the state’s economic expansion and address its fiscal deficit.

Naidu specifically requested central government aid for key infrastructure projects, including the development of industrial corridors, expansion of transport networks, and the construction of crucial public amenities. He also emphasized the need for assistance in education, healthcare, and rural development to ensure the overall welfare of the state's population.

The meeting came at a time when Andhra Pradesh continues to grapple with economic pressures, especially after the bifurcation of the state in 2014. With limited resources and a growing need for investment, the state has been seeking central support for its development initiatives, which were promised post-bifurcation but remain unmet in several areas.

Naidu also raised concerns over the delay in the implementation of certain financial assistance promises made by the central government at the time of bifurcation. These included promises related to the construction of the new capital, special economic status, and funding for various key sectors.

The meeting between Naidu and Modi is seen as part of efforts to strengthen the relationship between the central government and the state, as both sides work towards improving Andhra Pradesh’s economic conditions and ensuring equitable development across the region.

PM Modi reportedly assured Naidu that the central government would review the demands and look into possible solutions. The meeting underscores the ongoing financial challenges faced by the state, as it continues to pursue its developmental goals in the face of resource constraints and rising expectations.
