Referring to recent incidents of violence against women, Congress accused the BJP of failing to ensure women's safety, empowerment, and justice. They pointed out alleged lapses in law enforcement, claiming that survivors are not receiving timely justice and that government schemes lack proper execution.
The opposition party also questioned the BJP’s election promises of "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao," claiming that the initiative has not yielded significant results. Congress leaders urged the government to take stronger steps to ensure women's security, equal opportunities, and better law enforcement measures.
In response, BJP leaders dismissed the allegations, stating that their government has introduced several policies aimed at empowering women and ensuring their safety. They cited recent initiatives and strict actions taken against perpetrators of crimes against women.
With elections approaching, the issue of women’s safety and welfare has become a key political debate, with both parties blaming each other for shortcomings in governance.
