With the Delhi Assembly election results set to be announced on Saturday, security measures have been intensified at all counting centres across the capital. Officials have deployed a three-tier security system to ensure a fair and transparent counting process while preventing any potential disruptions.

Three-Tier Security Arrangement

According to election authorities, the security setup will include:

  1. Outer Layer: A strong paramilitary presence, along with Delhi Police personnel, will guard the entry points of the counting centres to prevent unauthorized access.
  2. Middle Layer: Only election officials, candidates, and designated party agents with valid passes will be allowed inside the premises. Additional CCTV surveillance will monitor activities in real time.
  3. Inner Layer: Inside the counting halls, election commission staff will handle vote counting under strict monitoring. No one except authorized personnel will be allowed access.

Mobile Phones and Electronic Devices Prohibited

To maintain the integrity and confidentiality of the counting process, officials have banned the use of mobile phones, smartwatches, and other electronic communication devices inside the counting halls. Polling officials, party representatives, and media personnel will have to follow this directive strictly.

Precautionary Measures and Preparedness

Authorities have also ensured that emergency response teams, medical staff, and fire safety personnel are stationed near counting centres to handle any unforeseen situations. Additionally, tight security measures will be enforced in politically sensitive areas to prevent post-result tensions.

With thousands of security personnel deployed and high vigilance in place, the Election Commission aims to ensure a peaceful and transparent vote-counting process. As political parties await the results, all eyes will be on Delhi's counting centres this Saturday.
