DMK MP Kanimozhi has strongly criticized the central government, accusing it of repeatedly disrespecting Tamil Nadu through policy decisions such as the National Education Policy (NEP) and the proposed delimitation process. Speaking at a public event, she alleged that the BJP-led government is attempting to impose policies that go against the interests and identity of Tamil Nadu.

She expressed concern over the National Education Policy, stating that it disregards Tamil Nadu’s long-standing two-language formula and imposes a curriculum that does not align with the state’s educational framework. According to Kanimozhi, the policy undermines Tamil Nadu’s autonomy in shaping its education system and forces centralization at the expense of regional diversity.

Regarding the upcoming delimitation process, she warned that the proposed changes could disproportionately reduce Tamil Nadu’s political representation in Parliament due to its successful population control measures. She argued that the state should not be penalized for its progress, and such a move would be unfair to southern states that have effectively implemented family planning programs.

Kanimozhi also accused the central government of sidelining Tamil Nadu’s concerns in national policymaking and promoting an agenda that weakens federalism. She called upon the people of the state to unite against policies that threaten their rights and cultural heritage.

The DMK leader's remarks have intensified the ongoing debate between the Tamil Nadu government and the Centre, highlighting key issues of education, representation, and federal balance in India's governance system.

Speaking at a public event, she alleged that the BJP-led government is attempting to impose policies that go against the interests and identity of Tamil Nadu.
