Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in a strong statement, reaffirmed India’s commitment to eliminating terrorism from its roots. Speaking in response to recent counter-terrorism operations conducted by the Indian Army, Shah expressed pride in the military's professionalism and resolve, stating that the country stands united against forces that aim to disrupt its peace and sovereignty.
The Home Minister commended the bravery and strategic efficiency displayed by the Indian Army, particularly during recent operations that successfully neutralized multiple threats in sensitive regions. He emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, national security has remained a top priority and that India’s security forces are fully empowered to respond to terrorism with decisive action.
“The Indian Army has once again demonstrated its unshakable dedication to protecting the motherland,” Shah said in his statement. “India remains firmly committed to eliminating terrorism in all its forms. Our security forces have the full support of the government and the people in this fight.”
Shah also pointed out that India’s counter-terror efforts are not limited to domestic actions but include strong diplomatic pressure on international platforms. The government, he noted, is actively engaging with global partners to isolate countries and entities that support or finance terrorism.
He reiterated that India follows a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and will not allow any external or internal threat to destabilize the country. “We will continue to strengthen our intelligence network, border management, and operational readiness to ensure that every citizen of India remains safe,” Shah said.
The Home Minister’s comments have come at a time when security agencies have intensified surveillance and counter-insurgency operations in sensitive areas. Defence experts believe such strong political backing further boosts the morale of the forces on the ground.
Political leaders from various parties, including some from the opposition, welcomed the statement and expressed solidarity with the Indian Army. They stressed that national security should be above political differences and appreciated the government’s firm approach towards terrorism.
In recent years, India has increased investment in border infrastructure, modern weapons, and intelligence-sharing networks to enhance its capacity to prevent and respond to terrorist threats. The success of these strategies has been visible in multiple operations where pre-emptive action prevented major incidents.
Shah concluded his statement by urging citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement agencies. “Every Indian has a role to play in ensuring peace and stability. Together, we can make India completely free of the menace of terrorism,” he said.
With firm words and a clear message, Amit Shah’s remarks underscore the Indian government’s unwavering commitment to protecting its citizens and upholding national integrity against any terror threat.
