DMK leader Kanimozhi has strongly criticized Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s budget reply, claiming it failed to address several crucial issues affecting the public. Speaking to the media, Kanimozhi argued that the Finance Minister avoided discussing significant concerns, including unemployment, inflation, and social welfare.
Kanimozhi stated, "The Finance Minister's reply was disappointing as it did not provide clarity on critical matters that impact the common people. Issues like rising inflation and unemployment were not addressed adequately." She further added that the budget lacked focus on social welfare programs and failed to provide relief to marginalized communities.
Highlighting the challenges faced by the middle class and farmers, Kanimozhi criticized the government for not offering sufficient measures to boost economic growth. She questioned the absence of concrete steps to tackle inflation and the lack of initiatives to create job opportunities.
Kanimozhi's remarks have sparked political debates, with opposition parties supporting her views and accusing the government of ignoring public grievances. They argued that the budget was more focused on benefiting large corporations than addressing the needs of ordinary citizens.
On the other hand, BJP leaders defended Sitharaman’s budget, calling it progressive and growth-oriented. They argued that the budget focuses on infrastructure development, digital economy, and skill enhancement, which would ultimately create job opportunities and benefit the economy.
As political tensions rise, Kanimozhi's criticism has intensified the budget discussions, highlighting the opposition's dissatisfaction with the government's economic policies. The debate continues as political leaders share their views on the budget's impact on the common people.
