In a powerful address at a rally in Jharkhand, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of failing to uphold its promises and indulging in rampant corruption. Kharge referred to Modi as "jhootho ke sardar" (chief of liars), highlighting what he termed as the government's continuous deception towards the people.
Kharge articulated that the BJP's tenure has been marked by empty assurances and a lack of concrete action on pressing issues affecting citizens. He asserted that rather than addressing the concerns of the common people, the ruling party has only engaged in “loot” and self-serving agendas.
The Congress leader's remarks come ahead of the upcoming elections, as the party seeks to galvanize support in Jharkhand and beyond. Kharge emphasized the need for accountability and transparency in governance, calling on voters to recognize the BJP's broken promises.
The rally resonated with attendees, many of whom echoed Kharge’s sentiments regarding the unfulfilled commitments of the Modi government. As the political landscape heats up in the run-up to the elections, Kharge’s statements reflect a broader strategy by the Congress to challenge the BJP's narrative and regain its foothold in the region.
