The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Chief Ministers' Conclave convened recently, passing a strong and unanimous resolution in support of Operation Sindoor, while commending the decisive leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the valor of the Indian armed forces. The meeting, which brought together the Chief Ministers and top leadership from NDA-ruled states, focused on national security, internal stability, and collaborative governance.
Operation Sindoor, a strategic initiative reportedly aimed at neutralizing threats along India’s borders, was hailed by the NDA leaders as a necessary and timely step to strengthen national defence. The resolution emphasized the effectiveness of coordinated defence actions and praised the armed forces for their professionalism, courage, and commitment to protecting the nation.
Chief Ministers of various NDA-ruled states spoke during the session, highlighting how Prime Minister Modi’s leadership had brought a sense of clarity and strength to India’s defence policy. They stated that under his tenure, India’s global standing had improved significantly, particularly in terms of strategic and defence partnerships. Several leaders pointed out that India’s assertive but measured responses to security threats have reassured citizens and sent a strong message internationally.
The resolution also mentioned the NDA government’s consistent efforts in modernizing the armed forces through increased defence spending, acquisition of advanced weaponry, and support for indigenous defence manufacturing under the “Make in India” initiative. The conclave reiterated its commitment to supporting all initiatives that enhance national security and reinforce India’s territorial integrity.
Beyond defence, the Chief Ministers discussed the importance of maintaining internal unity and combating misinformation that may affect national morale. They agreed that political unity and cooperative federalism were essential in navigating national challenges, including those concerning defence and diplomacy.
The conclave concluded with a reaffirmation of the alliance's support for the central government’s strategic actions and a pledge to work together in safeguarding India's sovereignty and stability. The leaders also paid tribute to the soldiers who have served or sacrificed for the country, acknowledging their service as the backbone of India’s freedom and peace.
In addition to the resolution on Operation Sindoor, the meeting included discussions on the upcoming national elections, implementation of centrally-sponsored schemes, and enhancing state-centre coordination on law and order issues.
This show of unity among the NDA states reinforces the alliance’s message of strong governance, national pride, and unwavering support for the country's armed forces and leadership during a crucial period in the geopolitical landscape.
