The all-party meeting concluded with a consensus on the necessity of a united front against terrorism and a commitment to enhancing the nation's security infrastructure.

Following the tragic terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in the loss of 26 lives, opposition parties have extended their support to the government's counter-terrorism initiatives. At the same time, they have called for a comprehensive review of security protocols to address potential lapses that may have facilitated the attack.

An all-party meeting convened by the government saw participation from key political figures, including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi. During the meeting, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh briefed attendees on the steps taken in response to the attack, including diplomatic measures and security enhancements.

Opposition leaders unanimously condemned the attack and expressed solidarity with the government's efforts to combat terrorism. Rahul Gandhi stated, "Everyone condemned the Pahalgam terrorist attack. The opposition has given full support to the government to take any action."

However, concerns were raised regarding possible security and intelligence failures. The Congress party highlighted that the attack pointed to lapses within the three-tier security system overseen by the Union Home Ministry. They emphasized the need for a thorough investigation to identify and rectify any shortcomings in the security apparatus.

In response, the government acknowledged that there were security lapses that needed to be addressed. Sources from the meeting indicated that the premature opening of the Baisaran Valley to tourists without proper security clearance may have been a contributing factor. The government assured opposition leaders that a detailed inquiry would be conducted to ascertain the causes and implement corrective measures.

Both the government and opposition parties agreed on the importance of learning from the incident to prevent future tragedies and ensure the safety of all citizens.
