Priyanka Gandhi, Congress General Secretary, has sharply reacted to the controversial remark made by BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra, who labeled her brother, Rahul Gandhi, a 'traitor'. Priyanka, addressing the media, responded with a firm statement, emphasizing that for Rahul Gandhi, nothing is more important than the country, and such allegations were baseless and politically motivated.
The heated exchange between the Congress and BJP escalated after Patra's comments, where he accused Rahul Gandhi of anti-national activities. Priyanka Gandhi’s rebuttal came as a defense of her brother’s patriotism, underscoring that Rahul has always worked for the welfare of the country.
The BJP has yet to respond to Priyanka Gandhi’s remarks, but the comment has added fuel to the ongoing political discourse between the two parties. This war of words is expected to continue as the debate over patriotism and national interest remains at the forefront of Indian politics.
The Congress party has also reiterated its stance against what it sees as personal attacks from BJP leaders, calling for a focus on real issues affecting the people of India rather than indulging in name-calling.
As this political controversy develops, both the Congress and BJP are likely to continue making their cases as the nation watches closely.
