Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has sharply criticized the government over its handling of the law-and-order situations in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, and Manipur. Addressing the media, Gandhi accused the government of being negligent in addressing the concerns of the citizens and failing to ensure peace in these troubled regions.
Referring to the ongoing violence and unrest in Sambhal, she stated that the government has failed to protect the lives of ordinary citizens. Gandhi also condemned the prolonged unrest in Manipur, where ethnic clashes have led to loss of life and displacement of people. She claimed that the government’s lack of action has exacerbated the situation, leaving the people of Manipur to suffer without adequate support.
Her attack comes in the wake of growing calls for the government to address the worsening situation in both states. While Manipur continues to witness violence between ethnic communities, Sambhal has been facing communal tensions and law-and-order challenges.
Priyanka Gandhi’s remarks reflect mounting opposition to the government's approach to internal security and governance. She demanded immediate intervention and accountability from the ruling administration to restore peace and protect citizens in these areas.
This critique from Gandhi has added fuel to the ongoing debate about the government’s effectiveness in handling regional disturbances and maintaining law and order across the country.
