Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has advised his party’s Members of Parliament (MPs) not to react to the remarks made by allies within the INDIA Bloc. Gandhi’s message to the MPs comes amid increasing political tensions and occasional disagreements between Congress and other opposition parties in the alliance.
Speaking at a meeting of Congress MPs, Gandhi emphasized that the party is capable of dealing with internal matters and external challenges without getting distracted by comments from its allies. His remarks come in the wake of some statements made by leaders from other parties in the INDIA Bloc that have created ripples within Congress. Despite these tensions, Gandhi reassured MPs that the Congress leadership is in control and will address any issues that arise within the alliance or the party.
The INDIA Bloc, a coalition of several opposition parties, has been working to challenge the ruling BJP in upcoming elections. However, differences in strategy and political ideology have at times led to friction between Congress and its allies. Gandhi’s call for unity and focus reflects the party’s attempt to manage these differences and project strength within the alliance.
Gandhi also emphasized the importance of sticking to the party's core agenda and staying united in the face of external criticism. His leadership continues to steer Congress through a period of political upheaval, as the party aims to consolidate its position in the run-up to future elections.
