In a significant political development, six Congress MLAs, including Rajasthan Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra, have been suspended from the ongoing budget session of the Rajasthan Assembly. The suspension was ordered following repeated disruptions and a verbal confrontation during the House proceedings.
According to reports, the Congress legislators raised strong objections to various issues and protested against the ruling government’s policies, leading to disorder in the assembly. Despite warnings from the Speaker to maintain decorum, the opposition MLAs continued their protest, which ultimately resulted in their suspension.
The decision has sparked political controversy, with the Congress party condemning the move as an attack on democratic rights. Party leaders stated that the suspension was an attempt to silence opposition voices and avoid crucial debates on governance and budget allocations. Meanwhile, members of the ruling party defended the action, arguing that maintaining discipline in the House is essential for smooth legislative proceedings.
