In a heated political exchange, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin strongly responded to Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s recent remarks about the state government. Addressing the issue, Stalin warned Pradhan, stating, “Don’t throw stones at a beehive,” implying that unnecessary provocation could lead to severe political consequences.
The confrontation began when Pradhan made critical comments regarding the governance and policies of Tamil Nadu under the DMK-led administration. Pradhan alleged that the state government was failing to address key issues and accused it of prioritizing political agendas over public welfare. His remarks drew sharp criticism from Stalin, who defended his administration’s performance and accused the BJP-led central government of interfering in state affairs.
Stalin reiterated that Tamil Nadu has a strong political identity and a history of resisting external pressure. He accused the BJP of trying to impose its ideological agenda on the state, which, he said, would not be tolerated. "Tamil Nadu’s people will not accept such interference. The state has always stood for its rights and will continue to do so," Stalin asserted.
The exchange highlights the ongoing friction between the ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu and the BJP at the center, especially on issues such as language policies, federal governance, and social welfare schemes. With elections on the horizon, the political rivalry between the two parties is expected to intensify further.
