While operational details remain limited due to security reasons, it has been widely regarded as a successful step in ensuring border protection and readiness against threats.

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Union Minister Uma Bharti has said that India’s long-term national objective will be realized when Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) is brought back under Indian control. Speaking at a public event, Bharti lauded the recent Operation Sindoor carried out by the armed forces, calling it a significant achievement in the country’s defense and security preparedness.

She remarked that while the successful operation demonstrates India’s growing military strength and strategic capabilities, the ultimate goal lies in reclaiming territories that are historically and constitutionally part of the nation. “When we take PoK back, our objective will be achieved,” she said, adding that the entire country remains united in its support of the armed forces.

Operation Sindoor, which was conducted to strengthen India’s defense posture in sensitive regions, has drawn praise from various leaders across the political spectrum. Security experts have described it as a carefully planned initiative showcasing coordination between different wings of the armed forces. While operational details remain limited due to security reasons, it has been widely regarded as a successful step in ensuring border protection and readiness against threats.

Bharti also highlighted the role of soldiers, stating that their courage and sacrifices form the backbone of India’s sovereignty. She called on citizens to always support the armed forces, noting that the safety of the nation depends on their resilience and dedication. Her speech resonated with patriotic sentiments and was met with applause from the audience.

The issue of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir has long been a matter of political, strategic, and diplomatic debate in India. Successive governments have reiterated that PoK is an integral part of India, illegally occupied since 1947. The subject often resurfaces in political discourse, particularly during times of heightened tension along the border or following military operations.

Bharti’s remarks come at a time when discussions about national security and territorial integrity are once again in focus. Analysts suggest that her statements reflect a wider sentiment within political and defense circles that India must remain prepared for future challenges while keeping long-term objectives in sight.

Opposition parties, while refraining from direct criticism, have emphasized that national security issues should be handled with seriousness and not politicized. They have also underscored the importance of diplomatic engagement alongside military preparedness in addressing the challenges posed by Pakistan.

For the armed forces, Operation Sindoor is seen as an example of their evolving capabilities in modern warfare and defense strategy. It has reaffirmed India’s position as a strong regional power and its determination to safeguard its borders.

Uma Bharti’s statement has added momentum to the ongoing national conversation about PoK, reminding citizens of the historical and constitutional claims India holds over the territory. As debates continue, her words underline the government’s and people’s commitment to the idea that the return of PoK remains a central objective in India’s vision of complete national integration.
