He reiterated his commitment to the people of Delhi and said his priority is to continue delivering on the promises made to citizens, including in sectors such as education, healthcare, electricity, and water supply.

Delhi Former Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has categorically denied any plans to enter the Rajya Sabha. Addressing the media and party workers, Kejriwal clarified that the speculation surrounding his potential nomination to the upper house of Parliament is entirely unfounded.

"There is no question of me going to the Rajya Sabha. I have no such intention. My work is in Delhi and with the people of India through the Aam Aadmi Party," Kejriwal stated firmly during a press interaction. His remarks come at a time when political observers have been discussing possible shifts in leadership roles ahead of Rajya Sabha elections in several states.

Over the past few weeks, there have been growing rumors that Kejriwal might consider a Rajya Sabha seat to expand his influence at the national level. However, the Chief Minister has now put all such speculation to rest. He reiterated his commitment to the people of Delhi and said his priority is to continue delivering on the promises made to citizens, including in sectors such as education, healthcare, electricity, and water supply.

Kejriwal also used the occasion to emphasize AAP’s future goals. “Our mission is to provide honest governance and development-driven politics across the country. That is where I am focused,” he added.

The Aam Aadmi Party has recently made significant electoral gains in states like Punjab and Gujarat. Political analysts believe that the party is aiming to strengthen its presence in other regions as well. In this context, Kejriwal's continued leadership in Delhi and national strategy is considered crucial for the party’s expansion.

Sources within the party confirmed that there have been no internal discussions about sending Kejriwal to the Rajya Sabha. “He is our face for national politics. He will continue to lead from the front,” said a senior AAP leader.

The statement from Kejriwal comes at a time when the political landscape is witnessing rapid changes, with alliances being formed and re-formed in anticipation of the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. Several parties are evaluating their Rajya Sabha nominations to position key figures strategically.

By publicly denying the Rajya Sabha move, Kejriwal has also attempted to send a message to both supporters and political opponents that he remains committed to his role as Delhi Chief Minister. This decision may help stabilize AAP’s leadership structure and reinforce confidence among party members and voters alike.

The upcoming Rajya Sabha elections are expected to see intense political maneuvering, but Kejriwal’s position, as of now, remains clear and unchanged.
