Amazon Launches Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse AI Devices to Summarise Conversations and Manage Tasks

Amazon has introduced two new artificial intelligence devices, Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse, designed to help users remember important conversations, organise tasks and manage everyday commitments. Announced on October 15, 2026, the devices expand Amazon's personal AI product range through its Bee brand, which the company acquired in 2025.

The new products are designed to capture useful information from conversations and convert it into summaries, reminders, to-do lists and personalised insights. Amazon says the aim is to help users stay focused on conversations without having to remember every detail or manually record notes.

What Are Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse?

Bee Frontier is a wearable AI device that can be worn as a wristband or clipped onto clothing. It features dual microphones, noise-filtering technology and a button that allows users to control when audio processing is activated. The device is designed for people who want to capture useful details from meetings, everyday conversations and informal discussions.

According to Amazon, Bee Frontier offers up to seven days of battery life, IP67 water resistance and USB-C charging. It is available in three colours: Onyx, Lavender and Sage. The company says the lightweight design is intended for everyday use.

Bee Eclipse takes a different approach. It is a compact device, approximately the size of a credit card, that attaches magnetically to the back of a smartphone. Amazon says it offers more than 21 days of battery life on a single charge. It is planned in four colours: Silver, Midnight, Honey and Blush.

While Frontier is designed to be worn on the body, Eclipse offers an option for users who prefer to keep their AI device attached to their phone. Both products are intended to provide similar conversation-summary and task-management functions.

How the AI Devices Work

The Bee devices use artificial intelligence to process conversations and identify information that may be useful later. This can include appointments, commitments, important ideas and tasks that a user has agreed to complete.

For example, after a conversation about arranging a meeting, the system could generate a summary and identify a possible follow-up task. During a discussion about travel plans, it could help users remember agreed dates, arrival times or other details.

Amazon says users can review summaries and insights through the Bee mobile application and a new desktop application. The software includes templates intended for different situations, such as lectures, care planning and brainstorming sessions.

The devices can also work with supported productivity services, including Gmail, Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook. Depending on the integrations enabled, Bee can help identify action items, draft follow-up emails and prepare calendar invitations based on conversations.

Users can also connect supported services such as Apple HealthKit and photos to provide additional context for certain personalised insights. These integrations depend on the permissions users grant and the features available to their accounts.

Alexa+ Integration and Personalised Shopping

Amazon is also connecting Bee with Alexa+ and Amazon.com. With the Alexa+ integration, users can ask compatible Alexa devices for conversation summaries, reminders and to-do lists using voice commands.

The Amazon.com integration is designed to provide more personalised shopping suggestions. For example, if a user mentions a product they need during a conversation, the service may help surface relevant products later.

These integrations are intended to make information gathered by Bee more useful beyond the original conversation. However, access to these additional features may require a paid subscription and the user must choose to connect the relevant services.

Privacy and Data Security

Privacy is a central consideration because the devices are designed to process conversations throughout the day. Amazon says Bee processes audio in real time and deletes the raw audio after processing rather than retaining recordings.

According to the company, transcripts, summaries and extracted tasks are encrypted using keys created and controlled by the user's device. Amazon says its Bee Private Compute security architecture is designed to prevent Amazon and Bee personnel from accessing this information by default. Users can also delete stored transcripts and summaries.

Both devices have a physical control to switch audio processing on or off and a visible indicator light that signals when the feature is active. Amazon also says users are prompted to obtain permission from other participants when recording a conversation begins.

These safeguards are based on Amazon's published description of the products and should not be treated as a guarantee that every privacy risk is eliminated. Users should review the privacy policy, understand which integrations are enabled and obtain appropriate consent before capturing conversations involving other people. Recording laws and consent requirements vary by location.

Price and Subscription Plans

Amazon has announced the following US prices for the two devices.

Bee Frontier is available for $74.99, while Bee Eclipse is priced at $99.99 and is expected to become available soon. These are US launch prices and do not confirm availability or pricing in India.

Customers receive conversation summaries, recaps and 14 days of memory without an additional subscription fee. Amazon has also introduced Bee Pro for $11.99 per month. The subscription includes unlimited recent conversation summaries, third-party app integrations, suggested tasks, daily memories, a personal chat assistant, conversation templates and the Bee desktop application. It also enables integrations with Alexa+ and Amazon.com.

Amazon says new Bee customers receive a 30-day free trial of Bee Pro. Users should check the current subscription terms before signing up to understand renewal conditions and which features remain available without a paid plan.

What the Launch Means for Personal AI

The launch reflects a broader trend towards AI assistants that do more than answer questions. Wearable and phone-connected AI devices are increasingly designed to help users capture information, identify commitments and organise tasks automatically.

Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse could appeal to professionals, students and people who frequently attend meetings or need help keeping track of daily responsibilities. Their usefulness will depend on the accuracy of summaries, the quality of integrations, battery performance and users' comfort with having a device process conversations.

For Indian consumers, the key considerations will include local availability, final pricing, subscription costs, language support and privacy requirements. Amazon's US launch announcement does not establish when the products will be available in India.

With Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse, Amazon is attempting to make personal AI a more continuous part of everyday life. Whether the devices become widely adopted will depend on how effectively they turn conversations into useful actions while giving users clear control over their data and recording settings.

Users should review the privacy policy, understand which integrations are enabled and obtain appropriate consent before capturing conversations involving other people.
