A Hyderabad-based robotics startup is attracting attention at the ongoing Wings India 2026 exhibition by presenting its advanced AI-powered aviation safety technologies. The event is being held at Begumpet Airport, where industry leaders, aviation experts and technology firms have gathered to showcase innovations aimed at improving safety and operational efficiency in the aviation sector.

According to the company, its flagship product is an AI-driven Intruder Detection System designed specifically for airport environments. The system features a 360-degree rotating camera equipped with both day and night vision capabilities. It can continuously monitor large areas and detect potential threats from distances ranging between 500 and 700 metres, even in low-light or night-time conditions.

The Intruder Detection System is capable of identifying and classifying objects such as humans, vehicles and animals that may pose risks to runway operations. Once detected, the system generates instant alerts, enabling airport authorities to respond quickly and prevent safety incidents. The startup says this technology is especially useful for monitoring runways, perimeter walls and other restricted or high-risk zones within airport premises.

The company has also developed what it calls an Intrusion Detection and Sabotage Warning System, which enhances airport surveillance through continuous tracking and real-time threat assessment. The camera rotates continuously to ensure uninterrupted monitoring, while advanced artificial intelligence algorithms process visual data to identify potential intrusions with high accuracy.

To achieve this, the startup trains its deep learning models using environment-specific data collected directly from airport locations. The team gathers visual data under different conditions, including daylight, low visibility, low light and infrared imaging. This approach allows the system to adapt to new environments, aircraft types and changing operational scenarios.

The collected data is stored in a dedicated database, which is used to train and fine-tune machine learning algorithms. Any misclassifications detected during operations are analysed and fed back into the system to improve performance. According to the company, this continuous learning process has helped it achieve accuracy levels of over 98 percent.

The startup believes its technology offers highly specialised solutions for the aviation sector, addressing niche but critical safety challenges. By combining AI-based object detection, real-time tracking and environment-specific training, the system aims to reduce runway intrusions and enhance overall airport security.

Industry observers at Wings India 2026 have noted that such technologies could play a significant role in strengthening aviation safety standards in India. With increasing air traffic and expanding airport infrastructure, advanced surveillance systems like these are expected to support safer and more efficient airport operations in the future.
