A Delhi court has dismissed a plea filed by Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi seeking access to more than 1600 unrelied documents in connection with the land for jobs case. The court observed that the request appeared to be an attempt that could delay the ongoing trial proceedings.
The case relates to allegations that appointments were made in the Indian Railways during Lalu Prasad Yadav’s tenure as railway minister in exchange for land parcels. Investigating agencies have claimed that certain individuals were appointed to railway positions after transferring land to Yadav’s family members or associates.
