The government has urged citizens to remain calm and trust the armed forces, reiterating that all steps are being taken to safeguard national interests while maintaining restraint.

In a carefully coordinated military operation, the Indian Armed Forces conducted precision strikes on identified military targets located across the border in Pakistan. The action, described by officials as a measured and strategic response to recent hostilities, was aimed at neutralizing threats and reinforcing India’s commitment to maintaining regional security.

According to senior defence officials, the operation was carried out using high-precision weapons systems, targeting only confirmed military locations. The strikes were conducted in a manner that minimized collateral damage, with no civilian infrastructure or population areas affected. The timing and scale of the operation were decided after detailed intelligence assessments and coordination among various defence wings.

“The operation was based on credible intelligence inputs and was intended to eliminate specific threats posed to Indian security installations,” a senior official from the Ministry of Defence stated. “Our forces acted with precision and restraint, ensuring that only legitimate military objectives were targeted.”

Sources confirm that the decision to carry out the strike was taken at the highest levels of government following a series of cross-border provocations, including ceasefire violations and attempted infiltration attempts. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was briefed by the Army Chief and top commanders following the completion of the operation.

The Indian Air Force and Army units jointly executed the mission, using a combination of aerial surveillance, drone intelligence, and guided munitions to ensure accuracy. Preliminary reports suggest that multiple forward-operating bases and ammunition storage facilities across the Line of Control were impacted.

The Ministry of External Affairs is expected to brief foreign envoys and international partners regarding the scope and rationale behind the operation, reinforcing India’s position that it acted in self-defence under its right to protect national sovereignty.

In a statement issued late in the evening, the Ministry emphasized that India remains committed to peace but will not hesitate to respond decisively to threats against its territorial integrity. “India’s actions are a direct response to targeted aggression. We continue to support dialogue and peace, but not at the cost of national security,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, security has been heightened along the international border and Line of Control. Additional troops have been deployed, and surveillance has been intensified to monitor any potential retaliation or escalation from the other side.

Defence analysts note that this operation sends a clear message to hostile elements that India possesses both the capability and the political will to respond effectively to acts of aggression. They also highlighted that the use of precision targeting reflects India’s focus on avoiding civilian harm while addressing strategic threats.

This latest development comes amid heightened tensions in the region and follows a series of diplomatic engagements aimed at curbing cross-border terrorism and promoting regional stability. The international community is closely monitoring the situation, though official responses have been measured so far.
