The GlobE Network, which has members from 121 countries, serves as a platform for sharing best practices, criminal intelligence, and developing collaborative anti-corruption strategies. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), along with the Enforcement Directorate (ED), will represent India on the panel, taking leadership roles in tackling cross-border corruption and economic offenses. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) will act as the central authority coordinating India’s activities within the network.
India's election to this prestigious 15-member steering committee underscores its growing influence in global governance and its proactive stance against corruption. During India’s G20 presidency in 2023, the country played a critical role in adopting high-level principles on anti-corruption measures, aligning with the GlobE Network’s objectives.
India's role in this global initiative is expected to bolster its diplomatic relations and increase its capacity to combat transnational economic crimes. With a track record of investigating financial crimes domestically, India’s involvement in the GlobE Network will provide it with enhanced capabilities and resources to tackle corruption on an international scale
