Following the report, a team from the Indian Air Force and Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) was deployed to the site.

Authorities in Haryana’s Sirsa district were alerted after local residents discovered what appeared to be parts of a missile-like object in an open agricultural field. The incident triggered immediate action by local police, district administration, and defence personnel, who cordoned off the area and initiated recovery and inspection operations.

The object, resembling a metallic cylindrical device with identifiable technological components, was first seen by farmers early in the morning. According to eyewitnesses, the object appeared to have landed recently, as the surrounding soil was disturbed and fragments were scattered in the vicinity.

Following the report, a team from the Indian Air Force and Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) was deployed to the site. Security forces quickly secured the location and retrieved the object, which was then sent for forensic and technical examination. Preliminary analysis by defence experts suggests the parts could belong to a non-armed aerial defence system or an experimental equipment used in military exercises.

A senior official from the defence establishment said, “At this stage, we are not confirming if the object is part of an active missile or a component of a test system. Investigations are ongoing, and all necessary safety protocols are being followed.”

Officials clarified that there was no explosion or damage reported in the area, and no injuries occurred. The site was declared safe after the initial inspection, and no hazardous material was detected. However, residents were advised to stay away from unidentified objects and report any similar findings immediately to the authorities.

The Haryana Police have also registered a preliminary report and are working with central agencies to trace the trajectory and possible origin of the object. Surveillance footage, radar data, and air traffic records are being reviewed to determine whether the object fell accidentally during a military test or was part of an aerial delivery system.

This is not the first time an incident involving unidentified defence objects has occurred in India. In previous cases, missile components and other debris were discovered in remote regions, often linked to testing activities by defence agencies or misfired equipment. However, each incident is treated with due seriousness, given the potential implications for national security and civilian safety.

Local officials, including the district collector and superintendent of police, visited the location and assured the public that the situation is under control. They emphasized that there is no cause for panic and that all necessary agencies are working together to investigate the matter thoroughly.

The Ministry of Defence is expected to release an official statement once a detailed report is submitted by the technical teams. Until then, the nature and source of the object remain under investigation.

This incident highlights the importance of rapid response mechanisms and cooperation between local authorities and defence agencies in addressing potential security concerns.
