Honda Cars India has opened pre launch bookings for the updated Honda Elevate ahead of its scheduled India launch on October 6, 2026. The facelifted SUV is set to receive design revisions, additional equipment and cabin enhancements as Honda prepares to introduce the updated model during the festive season.
According to Honda Cars India, customers can book the new Elevate at authorised Honda dealerships across the country by paying a booking amount of Rs 21,000. The company has confirmed that India will be the first market globally to receive the updated version of the SUV.
Honda has also released a teaser of the new Elevate, providing an early look at some of the styling changes. While the teaser does not reveal the complete vehicle, reports based on the teaser indicate that the front section will receive significant visual updates. These include a redesigned grille and a new LED lighting signature.
The facelift is expected to feature segmented LED daytime running lights integrated into the revised front design. Reports also indicate that the rear could receive connected LED taillights, giving the SUV a more contemporary appearance. Revised bumpers and new alloy wheel designs are also expected, although the complete exterior specification will be confirmed by Honda at the launch.
The overall proportions and SUV character of the Elevate are expected to remain familiar. Honda is using the facelift to update the vehicle's appearance and equipment rather than introduce an entirely new generation. The company has described the new model as a more premium version of the existing Elevate, with several enhancements based on customer requirements.
The interior is another area expected to receive updates. Reports indicate that the facelifted Elevate could feature a revised dashboard layout and ambient lighting. Additional equipment such as ventilated front seats and a 360 degree camera has also been reported as a possibility. However, these features should be considered expected additions until Honda provides the final variant wise equipment list.
Honda has not yet released the complete technical specifications of the new Elevate. Current reports suggest that the facelift could continue with the existing petrol powertrain and transmission options. The present Elevate uses a 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a six speed manual transmission or a CVT. Reports indicate that major mechanical changes are not expected for the facelift.
The company has also indicated that the new Elevate will focus on additional features and enhancements. Honda's existing SUV already offers equipment such as advanced driver assistance features, six airbags and other safety technologies. The final equipment list for the facelift, including the availability of new features across different variants, is expected to be announced at the launch.
The timing of the facelift is significant because the Indian automobile industry is entering the festive sales period. The updated Elevate will be introduced with refreshed styling and additional equipment as Honda seeks to strengthen its position in the mid size SUV segment.
The Honda Elevate competes in a segment that includes several popular SUVs from manufacturers such as Hyundai, Kia, Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, Volkswagen and Skoda. The facelift gives Honda an opportunity to keep the Elevate competitive by updating its styling and adding features requested by customers.
The booking process has already started, but Honda has not yet announced the final prices of the facelifted SUV. Customers making a pre booking will need to wait for the official launch for details regarding the different variants, pricing and complete equipment list. The company has confirmed that the launch will take place on October 6, 2026.
India being the first global market for the updated Elevate is another important aspect of the launch. Honda Cars India has positioned the country as the lead market for the new model, highlighting the importance of the Indian market in the company's SUV strategy.
For prospective buyers, the key confirmed information at this stage is that pre launch bookings are open, the booking amount is Rs 21,000 and the official India launch is scheduled for October 6. Honda has confirmed that the new model will bring design changes, additional features and enhancements, while the complete specifications and pricing are yet to be announced.
The new Honda Elevate is therefore expected to arrive with a combination of refreshed styling and upgraded equipment while retaining the core identity of the current SUV. More information about the engine, transmission, variants, features and prices will become available when Honda officially launches the facelift in India.
