VinFast has revised the prices of its VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs in India, making both models more expensive for buyers. The latest revision comes less than a year after the company's previous price increase and follows the end of the introductory pricing period that initially helped the Vietnamese automaker establish its products in the Indian market.
The VF6 has received a uniform price increase of Rs 90,000 across all three variants. The Earth, Wind and Wind Infinity versions are now priced between Rs 18.19 lakh and Rs 20.09 lakh ex showroom. This represents the second price hike for the VF6 within the last year.
The VF6 continues to be offered with Earth, Wind and Wind Infinity variants. It uses a 59.6kWh battery pack and a front wheel drive electric powertrain. The higher variants offer a more powerful motor configuration, while the model's claimed range varies by version. Current specifications list a claimed range of up to around 468km depending on the variant and testing cycle.
The VF7 has received a larger revision in absolute terms. Its prices have increased by between Rs 1.10 lakh and Rs 1.13 lakh depending on the variant. Following the latest revision, the VF7 starts at Rs 22.99 lakh and extends to Rs 28.09 lakh ex showroom.
The VF7 is offered in five variants covering Earth, Wind, Wind Infinity, Sky AWD and Sky Infinity AWD. The SUV is available with front wheel drive and all wheel drive configurations, depending on the variant. Its higher specifications use a larger battery pack and dual motor hardware for the all wheel drive versions.
The price revision means buyers looking at either VinFast SUV will now need to spend more than they would have under the earlier pricing structure. The changes are particularly relevant in India's competitive electric SUV market, where manufacturers are frequently adjusting prices in response to input costs, production expenses, market positioning and changing competitive conditions.
The latest VF6 increase follows an earlier revision announced in January 2026. At that time, the end of introductory pricing resulted in an increase of up to Rs 90,000 for the model. The current increase therefore represents another upward adjustment within a relatively short period.
For the VF6, all three variants have now moved up by the same Rs 90,000 amount in the latest revision. This makes the price structure relatively straightforward for buyers because the increase is not dependent on the chosen trim. For the VF7, the increase varies between variants. The entry level Earth has moved to Rs 22.99 lakh, while the higher versions now extend up to Rs 28.09 lakh for the Sky Infinity AWD. The different increases reflect the separate pricing structure across the five variants.
The VF7 remains one of the more powerful electric SUVs in its segment. Its higher variants use a 70kWh battery and dual motor all wheel drive, while the front wheel drive versions use a single motor setup. Depending on the variant, VinFast claims a range of up to around 532km for the front wheel drive versions and around 510km for the all wheel drive versions.
The two SUVs are also positioned differently in the Indian market. The VF6 is the smaller and more affordable model, with a starting price below Rs 20 lakh even after the latest increase. The VF7 sits in a higher segment and competes with larger electric SUVs offering stronger performance and additional equipment.
The higher prices could influence how prospective buyers compare VinFast products against established and newer competitors. Models such as the Mahindra BE 6, Mahindra XEV 9e and Tata Harrier EV are among the electric SUVs competing for buyers in overlapping price ranges.
