BSEH has advised applicants to verify all details carefully before submitting the form, as changes may not be allowed after the application window closes.

The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) has officially opened the registration window for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2026. Candidates seeking teaching positions in Haryana government schools can now apply online through the official portal, htet.eapplynow.com. The HTET is a mandatory eligibility examination for recruitment to teaching posts across different levels in the state’s education system.

HTET is conducted for three levels. Level 1 is for Primary Teachers teaching Classes I to V, Level 2 is for Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) teaching Classes VI to VIII, and Level 3 is for Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) teaching Classes IX to XII. Candidates may apply for one or more levels depending on their educational qualifications and career goals.

To complete the registration process, applicants must first register on the official website using a valid mobile number and email address. After registration, candidates need to fill in personal details, academic qualifications and exam preferences. They are also required to upload scanned copies of photographs, signatures and relevant certificates in the prescribed format. The final step involves payment of the application fee through the available online payment options.

BSEH has advised applicants to verify all details carefully before submitting the form, as changes may not be allowed after the application window closes. Candidates are also encouraged to keep a copy of the submitted application form and payment receipt for future reference.

The HTET examination assesses candidates on subjects such as child development and pedagogy, language proficiency, general studies and subject-specific knowledge depending on the chosen level. The exam is conducted in offline mode with multiple-choice questions. Qualifying the HTET makes candidates eligible to apply for teaching posts in Haryana government schools, though it does not guarantee direct recruitment.

The HTET eligibility certificate has lifetime validity, in line with guidelines issued by the National Council for Teacher Education. This allows qualified candidates to apply for teaching positions multiple times without reappearing for the test, unless required by future policy changes.

Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official HTET website for updates related to application deadlines, exam dates, admit card release and result announcements. Any official communication regarding changes in schedule or exam guidelines will be published only on authorised platforms.

With the registration process now underway, eligible candidates are encouraged to complete their applications well in advance to avoid last-minute technical difficulties. Further details about the examination schedule and important instructions are expected to be announced by the board in due course.
