This rule applies across subjects except for Part C of Mathematical Sciences, where special provisions outlined in Chapter 3.2 of the exam guidelines will apply.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) on January 30, 2026, released the final answer keys for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2025 examination. Candidates who appeared for the test can now check and download the final answer key in PDF format from the official website, csirnet.nta.nic.in. The answer key allows candidates to calculate their final scores and assess their performance before the declaration of results.

For the December 2025 session, the NTA has made a significant update by dropping three questions from the final answer key. The dropped questions include 916710624 from the Chemical Sciences exam (December 18, second shift) and 209355287 and 209355344 from the Life Sciences exam (December 18, first shift). These questions have been excluded to ensure fairness, following standard procedures when errors are identified.

According to the NTA information bulletin, if a question is found to be incorrect for any reason, candidates who attempted it will be awarded marks. Additionally, if it is determined that more than one option is correct along with the original answer, marks will be given to all candidates who selected any of the correct options. This rule applies across subjects except for Part C of Mathematical Sciences, where special provisions outlined in Chapter 3.2 of the exam guidelines will apply.

The Joint CSIR-UGC NET is a prestigious national-level test conducted to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions in Indian universities and colleges. The exam assesses candidates across four major streams: Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, and Mathematical Sciences. Candidates rely heavily on the accuracy of the answer key, as it is a crucial tool to estimate scores and gauge chances of qualifying before the official results are announced.

This update follows standard NTA procedures for ensuring transparency and fairness in competitive examinations. By providing marks for questions later found to be incorrect, the agency ensures that no candidate is disadvantaged due to errors in the original answer key. Candidates are advised to carefully check the final answer key and cross-verify their responses, particularly if they had attempted any of the dropped questions.

The final results for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2025 will be based on this revised answer key. Candidates are encouraged to download and retain the PDF for future reference, including applications for fellowship programs, academic positions, or further studies.

To access the final answer key, candidates should visit the official website, navigate to the CSIR-UGC NET December 2025 section, and download the relevant PDF for their subject and shift. This step ensures that all students have the most accurate information to calculate their results and plan their next steps in academic or research careers.

Candidates are encouraged to download and retain the PDF for future reference, including applications for fellowship programs, academic positions, or further studies.
