The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the provisional answer key for the UGC NET 2025 examination soon on its official website. Candidates who appeared for the exam can download the answer key once it is published by visiting the official UGC NET portal and logging in with their application credentials.
The UGC NET (University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test) is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for the role of Assistant Professor and for Junior Research Fellowship in Indian universities and colleges. The examination was held across various centres in India in computer-based mode, and lakhs of candidates participated in the 2025 cycle.
The provisional answer key will include the correct responses to all the questions asked in the examination. It will help candidates assess their performance and estimate their probable scores. Along with the answer key, NTA is also expected to release individual response sheets and a question paper PDF.
Candidates who identify discrepancies or have objections to any of the answers listed in the provisional key will be given the opportunity to raise challenges. A specific time window will be announced for submitting objections, and candidates will have to provide appropriate supporting documents or explanations. A nominal fee may be charged per question for raising objections, which is usually refunded if the objection is found to be valid.
Once the objection window is closed, NTA will review all the challenges submitted by candidates with the help of subject matter experts. If any discrepancies are confirmed, corrections will be made, and a final answer key will be released. The result of UGC NET 2025 will be declared based on this final version of the answer key.
To download the UGC NET 2025 answer key, candidates can follow these steps:
- Visit the official website of UGC NET at ugcnet.nta.nic.in
- Click on the link for "UGC NET 2025 Answer Key"
- Enter the application number and date of birth
- View and download the answer key, question paper, and response sheet
Candidates are advised to carefully compare their marked answers with those provided in the key to get an accurate understanding of their scores. It is also recommended to keep a copy of the downloaded documents for future reference during the result declaration process.
The release of the answer key is a significant step in the examination process, as it provides transparency and gives candidates an opportunity to verify the correctness of the evaluation. The final results and cut-off marks for various subjects and categories will be announced by NTA after completing the review process.
Candidates are encouraged to regularly visit the official UGC NET website for the latest updates and announcements regarding the answer key, objection submission dates, and result declaration timeline.
