Ajay Devgn’s highly anticipated film Raid 2 has a revised release date, now slated for February 21, 2025, moving from its original November 15 schedule. This sequel to the 2018 hit Raid aims to honor the unsung heroes of the Income Tax Department and will dramatize a true case from their records.
The film will feature Vaani Kapoor and Rajat Kapoor in significant roles, with Riteish Deshmukh playing the antagonist. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who also helmed the first Raid film, Raid 2 promises to continue the intense and gripping narrative established in the original.
Raid was based on a real-life Income Tax raid conducted in the 1980s and starred Saurabh Shukla and Ileana D’Cruz. The sequel is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar, with Gulshan Kumar and T-Series presenting the film as a Panorama Studios production.
