Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, acclaimed for her performances in Guilty, Ray, and Monica, O My Darling, has made an entertaining cameo in Vasan Bala's action-packed prison drama Jigra, which stars Alia Bhatt. This collaboration marks another chapter in Akansha and Vasan's working relationship, having previously teamed up on projects like Monica, O My Darling and Ray. In this film, Akansha portrays a quirky air hostess whose character brings a touch of levity exactly when it’s needed.
Dressed in a sharp uniform, Akansha looks striking in her scene with Alia, where she serves food to Alia’s character, creating a moment that stands out for its humor. Alia’s exaggerated, aggressive eating during this exchange has even inspired a flurry of memes on social media, showcasing the scene's impact on viewers.
Discussing her experience, Akansha said, "I had an absolute blast working with Vasan Sir again. Whenever he calls me, it’s a no-brainer for me to say yes, and it was the same with Jigra. I remember he called me one fine day and told me that I had a one-day shoot, and I immediately signed up for it. He’s always been a guiding force in my career. The fact that this short scene is getting so much love from the audience, and that people are tagging me everywhere, feels amazing."
Looking ahead, Akansha is set to make her South Indian film debut in MaayaOne, alongside Sundeep Kishan. Additionally, she has several exciting OTT projects on the horizon, further expanding her diverse portfolio in the film industry.
