Alia Bhatt's Jigra and Rajkummar Rao's Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video will be available for streaming on Netflix starting December 6 and 7, respectively, the platform announced on Thursday. The two films had originally clashed at the box office on October 10, with both receiving a lukewarm reception.
Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala, also features Vedang Raina and Manoj Pahwa in pivotal roles. The film follows the story of Satya, a woman who embarks on a mission to clear her wrongly accused brother's name and free him from jail. Meanwhile, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, stars Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri. The film centers around a couple, Vicky and Vidya, whose first night DVD goes missing, throwing their relationship into turmoil. Other stars include Vijay Raaz, Mallika Sherawat, and Archana Puran Singh.
Despite their star power, both films underperformed at the box office. Jigra earned Rs 31.98 crore, while Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video grossed Rs 41.93 crore. The films are now shifting their focus to the OTT platform where they hope to find a wider audience.
