Rumors surrounding a sequel to the popular 2012 Bollywood film Cocktail, starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty, have been officially debunked. For some time, reports had surfaced claiming that a follow-up to the hit movie was in the works, with names like Shahid Kapoor and Kartik Aaryan being suggested for the lead roles. This speculation was fueled further when Maddock Films, the production company behind Cocktail and Stree, was said to be planning a sequel that would continue the story or explore new dynamics with a fresh cast.
However, producer Dinesh Vijan, who heads Maddock Films, has directly addressed the rumors, confirming that there are no plans for a Cocktail sequel. In fact, he clarified that the notion of a sequel is simply not being considered by the production house. According to Vijan, the reports circulating about a Cocktail follow-up with Shahid Kapoor or Kartik Aaryan are completely unfounded, and there is no truth to the claims.
This clarification puts to rest the speculation that had built up over the past weeks, leaving fans disappointed but reassured that no such project is on the horizon. Despite the original Cocktail film's success and the growing buzz about a potential return to its universe, it seems that the story of Cocktail will remain a standalone hit for now.
Maddock Films, known for producing successful films like Stree and Luka Chuppi, continues to work on new projects, but a Cocktail sequel is not part of their current plans. For now, fans will have to hold onto the memories of the original film, with no plans to revisit the beloved characters in a sequel anytime soon.
