Mumbai:
Social media personality and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav opened up about his journey into the entertainment world, revealing that he had never visited Mumbai until his participation in the popular reality show. Known for his massive fan base on YouTube, Elvish admitted that stepping into the Bigg Boss house was not only a personal challenge but also his first significant step into mainstream showbiz.
In a recent interview, Yadav recalled how everything about Mumbai was new to him. “Before Bigg Boss OTT 2, I had never even seen Mumbai. My entire content creation career was based out of my hometown. Coming to Mumbai, with its fast pace and high energy, was both exciting and overwhelming,” he said. He shared that adapting to the lifestyle, the people, and the competitive nature of the industry took time, but it also taught him valuable lessons about resilience and self-expression.
Yadav also spoke about his connection with fellow contestant and television actress Rubina Dilaik. Though known for her own strong presence in the reality television space, Rubina and Elvish developed a cordial relationship during their time on the show. “Rubina Dilaik and I came from very different backgrounds, but we clicked because of mutual respect. She was supportive, especially during moments when I felt the pressure of being new to this environment,” he added.
Their camaraderie extended beyond the show, with both celebrities often acknowledging each other’s growth and work ethic in post-show interviews. Elvish mentioned that Rubina’s professional approach and calm demeanor helped him stay focused during tense moments in the Bigg Boss house.
Reflecting on his Bigg Boss journey, Elvish described it as transformative. The show, which thrives on intense competition, personality clashes, and viewer votes, gave him a broader platform to connect with audiences across India. Known previously only in digital spaces, Yadav’s popularity surged during and after his win.
“Bigg Boss OTT 2 opened doors that I didn’t even know existed. It introduced me to a much wider audience and gave me exposure to a different side of entertainment. I’ve learned a lot from the experience, including how to deal with criticism and remain grounded,” he said.
Apart from gaining visibility, Yadav also emphasized the emotional growth he experienced. Being away from familiar surroundings and under constant surveillance forced him to introspect. “You understand a lot about yourself when you are locked in with strangers. It shapes you in ways you don’t expect,” he explained.
Elvish continues to be active on digital platforms and is reportedly considering offers from mainstream media, including music videos, web series, and brand collaborations. Fans are eager to see what he does next, and Yadav has promised to stay true to his creative roots while exploring new formats.
