Ground Zero, the much-anticipated film starring Emraan Hashmi, has finally been released in theatres across India. The movie, directed by Tejas Prabhaa Vijay Deoskar, combines themes of patriotism, suspense, and human conflict, aiming to deliver an emotionally charged narrative set against the backdrop of national duty and personal sacrifice.
Critics and audiences have begun sharing their reviews shortly after the first-day screenings. Emraan Hashmi’s portrayal of a security officer stationed in a volatile conflict zone has received particular praise. His character, torn between family responsibilities and duty to the nation, is said to carry the emotional weight of the story. The actor, known for his versatile performances, has reportedly delivered one of his most intense roles in recent years.
Early reviews indicate a mixed to positive reception. Several film critics have lauded the storytelling, especially the first half of the movie, which builds strong tension and character depth. The cinematography and background score have also been praised for enhancing the film’s immersive atmosphere.
However, not all feedback has been glowing. Some reviewers pointed out that the second half of Ground Zero lags slightly in pacing and becomes predictable. A few have also mentioned that while the movie carries a strong message, it could have benefited from a tighter screenplay.
The film also features strong supporting performances from actors like Zoya Hussain and Sachin Khedekar, who bring credibility and emotional resonance to the narrative. Their roles, though secondary, contribute significantly to the plot’s unfolding.
On social media platforms, the hashtag #GroundZeroMovie is trending, with fans sharing their opinions and favorite scenes. Emraan Hashmi’s fanbase has turned out in large numbers, praising his dedication to choosing meaningful scripts and evolving as a performer.
As per early box-office predictions, Ground Zero is likely to perform decently over its opening weekend, especially in urban centres and multiplex audiences. The film’s patriotic theme, released close to significant national dates, may give it a further push.
The overall critical consensus so far seems to lean toward appreciation for the film’s intention and execution, despite minor flaws in pacing and predictability. Viewers looking for a combination of emotion, duty, and drama in a real-world setting might find Ground Zero to be a compelling watch.
