Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan has sparked excitement among moviegoers by sharing his thoughts on the upcoming action thriller War 2. Speaking during a recent media interaction, Hrithik expressed immense admiration for his co-star Jr NTR, describing the film as “bigger and better” than the first installment.
War 2 is the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War, which featured Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff in lead roles. The film is part of Yash Raj Films' Spy Universe, which also includes hits like Pathaan and Tiger Zinda Hai. With Jr NTR, a powerhouse from the Telugu film industry, joining the cast, expectations for the sequel have skyrocketed.
Hrithik shared that Jr NTR brings "raw energy and brilliance" to the screen, and their collaboration has been "creatively enriching." He mentioned that fans can expect high-octane action, a gripping storyline, and larger-than-life sequences. "It’s not just a sequel; it’s a leap forward in scale, emotion, and cinematic experience," Hrithik added.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film is currently in production with multiple international locations on the shoot schedule. Insiders have hinted that the storyline will expand the spy universe further, with Hrithik reprising his role as Kabir and Jr NTR potentially playing either an antagonist or a parallel lead.
Social media is abuzz with behind-the-scenes updates and speculation about the characters and plot. Fans of both Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR are eagerly awaiting more official teasers and posters, which are expected to drop later this year.
The film industry is viewing War 2 as one of the most ambitious pan-India projects of 2025, bringing together top talent from Bollywood and Tollywood. With star power, sleek action, and a cinematic universe backing it, War 2 is shaping up to be a film that could redefine the action genre in Indian cinema.
